Kids and Dogs are a natural mix. Centara Standard Schnauzers are full of energy and enjoy their human counterparts, kids. Once a child learns to treat a puppy kindly and respect a puppy's needs…the pup and the child are fast friends.

Take time to educate a child from the first day a puppy is brought home. Give the child some responsibilities for caring for the puppy to help with the bonding experience. It is essential that the child understands how easily a puppy can be hurt, so ask the child to help think of ways to keep the puppy safe.
